My letter to you:

This work is a dream and a sense of the present life. This is what you can do if you drop the past and open your eyes to the possibilities around.

The World Wide Web opens up new worlds, new friends, a new education, new professions, new tasks and a new solution.

You just need to drop fear and old attitudes and adapt. Look, look - this is the world in which you can find your place. Truly your own. Do your own thing, love it, manage to be with friends and family, engage in self-development and feel harmony with the world.

All this at your fingertips.

What is it? Money? Fame? Favourite buisness? Research? Dating? Harmony?

Only you decide.

Only you know what happiness is for you.
Stop looking around, look at yourself.

About series
Portraits of Millennials
[3 in 1: like coffee]:

Now we live in a world in which we have never lived before. The millennial era is coming. Millennials are a cohort of people born between the 1980s and mid-2000s. According to American scientists: they are the largest generation in the United States, representing one third of the total population of the country in 2013. Russian millenials, of course, are very different. Most were born in the USSR and brought up on the remnants of Soviet traditions, which are now alien to them. Due to the breakdown of eras, we have a more acute generational conflict. And the conflict is within themself.

I wanted to show “my” time through the prism of the portrait. Through the image of people peer into their problems, ideas, feelings, vision of this world now. I created 4 archetypes of modernity. They contain everything that I see in my generation right now.

In my series of works, I wanted to try to combine my vision of a person in different types of art at the same time.
1. Each work is based on a photograph taken by me in a studio.
2. By graphics, I emphasize the conscious vision of the world of each archetype, revealing their thoughts and ideas.
3. On top of the printed image on the canvas, I refined most of the backgrounds with painting and added a couple of accents. In literature, very often the background on which events occur: nature, space - reflects the internal state of the lyrical hero. I took advantage of this technique and put it into work.
I deliberately mixed materials - printing photographs, graphics, oil, acrylic, markers, aerosol sprays, in order to show the versatility, complexity and depth of contemporary art.

Your Painting Will Come:
/Unframed or framed if you want ( I can offer options)
/Signed on the back
/With a signed certificate of authenticity, stating title, year, size, edition number and letter from me.

Mari Boro - philologist, photographer, artist. Member of the International federation of Artists. Mari is a bright representative of the Russian millennials who were brought up on the remnants of Soviet traditions, but at the same time caught rapid technological and digital revolution. Mari lives on important and urgent problems through the game form of cartoonish images, thereby reducing emotionality, as it were, transferring it to another plane of unreality. This helps to look at the situation more objectively, with humor, to reduce the strain. Leading motives of her projects - this is the self-identification of a person of the "new time", the philosophy of humanism, the nature of modern society and ethical exacerbation. Mari Boro is a reflection of her time. As it really is. Seeking, contradictory, emotional, rebellious, not understanding the "framework" and with an inner strain.
