About The Artwork
All my paintings are Acrylic paint on canvas, outlined in Ink and then covered with a coat of Resin. All compositions are an excuse to outline color. As a child coloring books and comic books were my first introductions to art and it was the lines that stuck with me. The resin traps the ink in and makes the colors pop. It also allows you to TOUCH the piece. The shine and reflection makes the piece different from most angles. This piece is named after a line in an old NYC antifolk song by Brer Brian and features a sun over the ocean. It is a riff on other paintings that have been made with a similar theme. The painting includes wire and hardware, so it is ready to hang.

I am a visual artist who currently resides and works in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area. My work centers around the way that outlines change the way that colors are seen. The focus on outlines has been consistent even in my earliest artworks from high school and beyond. I studied design at N.C. State university and art at Appalachian State University before getting a business degree and later a MBA from Wake Forest University. While pursuing a career in business I found different places to act as an outlet for my creativity. Most notably I created a large and expansive website centering around the turn of the century Antifolk scenes based in New York City and the UK. That branched out into a small circulation magazine or "Zine" called ANTI-UP [the magazine]. Nowadays my focus is on his family and paintings.
