This piece is part of the Nest Series, which depicts combinations of everyday objects. The selection of items is rooted in personal memories and experiences, whether actual or perceived. Placed within a graphic space and detached from context, the clusters become less about what the objects are, but how they nest within each other, weigh on and cast shadows upon one another. The contained nature of these small environments call on feelings of safety and comfort while also becoming a contemplation of color, texture, and pattern.
