Historically unreliable picture about how in Moscow on Tsaritsyn meadow in 1723 ,behind the Moscow river, on the background of the white stone Kremlin Peter the Great arranged fireworks in honor of the anniversary of the marriage with Catherine. He himself launched a flying Cupid with a torch to ignite the illuminated tower of the fireworks theater, decorated with an emblem with a burning heart. At that time, the language of symbols and "emblem" was very popular, with the help of which the theme of fireworks was depicted. In Holland, Peter even ordered to publish a book-"Symbols and Emblemata"( Amsterdam, 1705). Some of them I depicted on the perimeter of the picture. Faithful Menshikov helps the king-turns the wheel of history!

I was born in Moscow on November 23, 1963,and now I live and work in Moscow. I draw from early childhood-in albums and in the fields of books, on Wallpaper and on frozen glasses, on furniture and on dishes, experiencing the delight of mixing colors, of a possible variety of subjects, of the creative flight, surprised by the beauty of fairy tales, legends, songs, costumes, ornaments and writing letters. Over time, my hand - drawn lubok turned into picturesque canvases-bright, colorful, with a lot of scenes, details and texts. The subjects that interest me are all connected with the history of holidays in Russia and not only folk, but also secular. For many years I studied and depicted Yuletide fun, wedding customs, calendar holidays of Heathen and Christian Russia. Now I'm interested in the culture of the gallant 18th century-ranging from the time of Peter The Great to the reign of Catherine the Great. This is the birth of the Russian theater, its relationship with the Italian Comedy Del Arte, the history of secular entertainment -I create pictures about fireworks, balls, masquerades, gardens and parks of the luxurious era. I use the following technique of painting-canvas, acrylic, graphics pen. I love to decorate my paintings with gold and silver colors, I work with bright open colors, then muted pastel - depending on the plot, the geography of the holiday and the mood. I pay great attention to fonts-I write texts of fairy tales or descriptions of the holiday right around the perimeter of the canvas, I try to find original writings in the primary sources and to keep the specificity of Old Russian script. This is my art - pictures-fairy tales, pictures-holidays!
