Fishing by the Weir Painting

I started painting in 2019, am self taught and paint, everything and anything that takes my fancy. I often work during and sometimes all through the night when my Parkinson's 'shake' is less problematical but I still cannot sleep. Painting is the perfect occupation for insomniacs, quiet, very neighbour friendly, leaving those that can sleep, undisturbed! The process of painting is completely absorbing, and takes me into a timeless dimension where nothing matters. It is my great escape to another world. Much of my inspiration is from the natural world and my surroundings. I often use photos from past travels as reference material. Please enjoy what you see here and thank you for reading. ​
