30X30 inches ORIGINAL oil painting on steel. This painting is of the model, Vanessa Lake. I love painting her. This painting is not framed, but hangs easily on two nails. It has a wire hanger on the back. This painting is painted on steel. After peeling down the entire onion of Karen Ann Jones, what I found was ‘Karen the painter.’ The same person I was when I was 5. I never changed, I only left who I was for a while. I paint because that is who I am. Being my most authentic me is my true integrity. My goal in my work is to express my optimistic, happy, in love with life, quirky, deep, intimate and passionate perspective of life. I choose my painting by recreating a visual of the feelings I am having at that moment. I get to spend personal time with that passionate feeling that I long to experience. This is probably why I don’t paint a painting in one day. I want to linger in that relationship. I have been an artist my whole life, I'm in my late 40's and live in a five story warehouse in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, United States. I specialize in figure painting but also do cityscapes and an occasional dog painting. My studio is in my building. If I'm not in my yoga class, I'm usually in my studio. Feel free to contact me anytime. Thank you for taking time to check out my shop. ~Karen

Karen’s art is a counter balance to fear and an anchor for self worth. It is a reminder of the love and support from the universe. It is god/universe/inner knowing, being there for you. Art gives you the resilience and strength to keep going until your dreams do come true. She eternally believes that dreams do come true and her work lives that. Karen started her art career when she was 5 but has been a professional, ‘non-starving artist’ for 15 years. She lives full time, paints and travels in her 1968 Airstream trailer, making art and soaking up inspiration from the world around her. Her mission is to create vibrant, imaginative oil paintings that uplift the spirit and celebrate individuality. Through colorful surreal narratives and semi realistic faces, she aims to inspire self-empowerment and a deep connection to one's personal journey, leaving a lasting legacy as a cheerleader for life's unique adventures.
