ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The Norwegian fjords are an experience. As time goes by you appreciate more what it takes to live in a fjord farm and how the seawater interconnects you to other communities. The depth of the fjords and height of the mountains create an ikigai experience, connecting you to a sense of purpose and reason for living.

Sabina found success early in her art career. When she was 6 years old, one of her drawings drew a bidding war between two art collectors. Another of her drawings was selected for the cover of a record. Before her 10th birthday she sold prints of her drawings and donated funds to Children's Hospitals. Throughout her career she focused on figurative ink drawings with intricate details. Sabina has been influenced by Henri Rousseau, Caleb Ives Bach, Marrnyula Munungurr, Mulkun Wirrpanda, and Francisco Toledo. She treasures early American folk art, Pre-columbian, Aboriginal Australian, and Native American art.
