ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This painting depicts a group of flamingos gathered in a melancholic, almost meditative mood. The birds seem immersed in the tranquility of nature, standing in shallow water and perhaps enjoying the moment. The work is done in an expressive technique that combines elements of abstraction and realism. The artist uses soft and muted colors, with shades of blue, gray, and yellow dominating, creating the effect of morning mist or twilight. The contours of the flamingos are sketched with energetic, free lines, emphasizing their grace and fragility. Particular attention is drawn to the details — light strokes of red and yellow on the birds' feathers add warmth and life to them. The misty atmosphere of the painting enhances the feeling of solitude and harmony with nature. The style of the work can be characterized as expressive realism, where emotions and the sense of the moment are conveyed through dynamic strokes and deep colors. This painting is perfect for creating an atmosphere of calm and contemplation in your space, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in a world of silence and natural harmony.

My name is Nadia Bedei, I am an artist. I have been drawing all my life, I am a member of the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS). I work in the genres of portrait and landscape. Most of my work is done in pastels. I chose pastel, it is ideal for me: a combination of the tenderness of the material and the power of possibilities. I use only high quality professional pigments and a foundation that allow my creations to last for centuries. I like to paint light and movement in all their variety. I work mainly in my studio in Buenos Aires, transferring the impressions of what I saw to the picture and reflecting subtle nuances, creating a unique impression in my works.throughout life, depending on what or who we encounter. For me, at the moment, it was formed from observing the change of light and the plasticity of movements. I love the sea and mountains very much, there are many of them in my landscapes. At the same time, I like to portray the immediacy of animals or the characteristics of people.
