ABOUT THE ARTWORK
First in the series of florals on paper. The flowers were inspired by the blooms in Mexico seen on my daily walks to the lookout tower in Puerto Vallarta. The colors of the landscape and architecture is just one of the reasons that draws me to this favorite city. During the summer rainy season, so many colors erupt from the profuse greenery growing in gardens and in the tiny cracks of rock walls and cobblestone walkways. The paper size is 12"x18" and the design area measures 10"x16". A gold metallic frame and white mat are included and will bring the total size to 18"x24". For shipping purposes, an acrylic panel will be used in place of glass but can be easily changed if desired. My signature is located at the bottom on the design area and also sign on the back of the paper. It will ship flat in a box.

As a minimalist artist, I find inspiration in capturing the essence of Earth's organic elements through silhouettes and simplified shapes. I celebrate the inherent beauty of rock formations, flowers, and water, blending well-defined shapes with expansive negative spaces to create intriguing compositions. ~~ Bio Laura Welshans is a multi-media abstract artist residing in Little Rock, Arkansas. She has exhibited her artwork in juried group shows like the 61st Delta Exhibition of the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts and The Other Art Fair in Dallas and Chicago as well as showcased her work in numerous solo exhibitions throughout her home state of Arkansas. She received a fellowship from Artist INC and selected for the Jen Tough Gallery Collective in Santa Fe, NM. Her work belongs to collections including CARTI Cancer Center and The Haywood Hotel. Laura shares her passion by teaching at the CreatorFest summer camp. She has received juried art awards and included in many publications.
