Flower Study 2 Painting

Luke Galutia's art's purpose is to introduce the viewers to their own subconscious minds, as an open-eyed meditation. Drawing on Surrealism and Op Art, and deriving from personal meditative experiences, Galutia's art, in acrylic, oil, watercolor, and acid etching or glass, is rich with dream symbolism. Its subject matters draw on rabbinical and hermetic traditions. Galutia started painting and creating art at the age of 13, and won his first award in 1994 in the Washington state student art competition. Winning both county and state first place, his painting "Surrealism of the Souls" went on to tour the United States as part of the Governors art collection. After studying art, animation, and video production at Olympic College in Bremerton Washington, Luke Galutia interned under renowned artist Amy Burnett at The Pacific North West Gallery, where he held a personal opening and showing of his art. He is looking forward to showings in the greater Oklahoma City area and beyond.
