Art Description

Painting: Oil, Acrylic, Paint on Wood.

This piece is part of a forest interior series of paintings inspired by hiking and canoeing and generally traipsing about in the forest .
I’m playing with a graphic foreground drawn with painted strokes which helps to amplify the feeling of depth. I’m hoping to convey a feeling of space that extends beyond the parameters of the piece.
The palate in this piece is an evolution from the previous work in the series and will inform the next piece . It is a constantly evolving thing informed by experimentation and misadventure.
