About The Artwork
Darka e Lamës means the harvest. For the first time Darka e Lamës has been used by our late President, Ibrahim Rugova and it was a traditionally served food. It was characterized by a table which we, Albanian people call "Sofra" (the table is that low, that people do not use chairs but sit on the floor). This was a kind of appreciation of food that people have on their meal for the winter season. It can be seen as Thanks Giving. This was very inspiring to me as people gathered around the food and tasting each meal.
