ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I started as artist in residence UK-GERMANY 2018 at the British Council the dialogue with the work of Eduardo Paolozzi, co-founder of British Pop Art. Artistically, I transferred his main theme of man and machine from the industrial age into the 21st century, the age of digitization and virtuality and pointed to the dangers for democracy by algorithms and bots on the Internet. The artwork is based on a collage I created of found tapes, then digitized, digitally mastered and formed into human shapes and then brought back to analog with dye transfer to acrylic glass. Virtuality and reality are melting together. The work is translucent and a white background is recommended. The artwork is ready to hang.

Mixed Reality Emergence describes the phenomenon that some spontaneous and unpredictable properties of a complex system cannot be explained by its parts alone. At unstable points, small changes in the initial situation can cause massive changes. My new series of digital collages creates complex systems with photographs of artificial materials, such as colored acrylic glass and packaging material, my own drawings and natural structures. They visualize the techno-organic world and the hyper-contextual existence of our time. This creates dematerialized, hybrid spaces of a digital nature. Light, shadows, reflections and reflections dissolve the real space. In this process I research the interaction and emergence of complex systems by relating and connecting the relationships and interactions of the elements of artificial and natural worlds. My current life as an ArtNomadin connects my art with the real urban and natural space. Public space becomes the exhibition space for my works through short-term interventions.
