About The Artwork
I paint with Acrylics, abstract imaginary open contemporary impressionist landscapes. My work has been influenced by Impressionist painting Masters such as Monet, Van Gogh, Pizarro, and others. Also by more contemporary Landscape Painters I admire and have learned from, such as Tim Gagnon, William Hawkins, Nagulero, Max Grunin, Alex Perez, David Dunlap to name a few. I have also been influenced by some personal close friends that I paint with and learned from such as Mickey Ray and Trevor Bailey and Hans Huebel. I'm self-taught and learn from everything around me, don't have to travel far for inspiration. I find cool stuff to paint in my own backyard garden and from the many Florida Public Parks in Broward County and surrounding counties. I've been inspired by watching two butterfly's dancing around each other while serenading and celebrating life in their own way. I paint life the way I see it and feel it. My brush and paints are the tools I used to express and recreate the beauty that is God's Creation. I hope my viewers and will share this journey with me as I continually seek to broaden my artistic horizons. That is what I'm all about. Hi,welcome, I'd to like share some of my personal history with you! I'm a self-taught Florida Landscape painter, working primarily with oil & acrylics. I also like to experiment with abstract surreal renderings of Pop Art Portraits, Abstract Nudes & Figures, Still Life, and Florals. Original Oil/Acrylic Paintings, done in an Impressionist style, (but with an abstract/Expressionist touch.) Subjects primarily include Landscapes (Plein Air and imagined). I work in all sizes, from ACEO's to very large canvas paintings. The majority are back stapled gallery wrapped canvases, some are on wood supports. Additionally, I also paint Diptychs & Triptychs in various sizes. I enjoy painting and living a creative life. My work is best described as Abstract and Representational where reality and illusion merge into a single element of pure expression. I hope to express the beauty of God's creation with my brush and paints. Painting is my way of getting back in touch with that inner child. Thanks again for looking!
