This artwork speaks to womanhood, religion, violence against women and gun culture in the USA. A central figure of Christianity, the Virgin Mary is prayed to and revered, not only for the immaculate conception of Jesus but also for motherhood being considered as a sacred and noble vocation in the Christian religion and society. The U.S. Supreme Court's landmark ruling overturning Roe v. Wade proves that women are only valued socially as mothers, not people. Dangerous Christian rhetoric is stripping individual rights and bodily autonomy, sidelining the mental, physical and financial health and welfare of the mother in favour of an embryo The separation between church and state was demolished to make way for pro-lifers. Guns have more rights than women and children continue to die while learning their ABCs. Ask yourself, if a god can exist in a world like this - because, to me, there is no god here. And if there was, god is most certainly dead.

Kasia Frankowicz is a Melbourne-based artist whose bold and evocative works explore themes of identity and personal truth. Born in Western Sydney to refugee parents, her creative voice reflects a unique perspective shaped by displacement and cultural intersections. Her vibrant style merges the boldness of street art—drawn from her brother's graffiti influences—with contemporary pop aesthetics, resulting in compelling works. Kasia’s artistic journey is highlighted by notable collaborations and media features. She partnered with 35mm Co to hand-paint cameras for World Pride, celebrating diversity and individuality through art. She also collaborated with UNSW’s Physics Department, designing painted lab coats to merge creativity with science. Her work has been featured in Art/Edit, Frankie Magazine, Voyage LA, WB40 Magazine,, The Australian, The Daily Telegraph, and Sydney Morning Herald, and has appeared on an episode of ABC’s Artworks. As the founder of REBIRTH, Kasia has created a platform for artistic expression and community engagement, emphasizing collaboration and inclusivity. Her work communicates a powerful message of authenticity, as seen in pieces like Lust, which captures universal human emotions, and her vibrant tributes to street culture and individuality. Kasia’s creative practice is deeply connected to her advocacy for marginalized voices, LGBTQI+ youth, and animal rights. Self-described as a “35-year-old teenager at heart,” Kasia embodies the spirit of rebellion, creativity, and individuality, using her art to connect with audiences and celebrate the beauty of being unapologetically true to oneself.
