ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is part of a series of works inspired by the Australian landscape through visiting places in Tasmania and the south coast of Australia. I finish my work in my studio using photographs. I use colours as a vehicle to communicate with my audience. I work in layers and use artist-quality acrylics to allow me to layer my paintings on 300gms water colour paper. I am influenced by many artists including Kandinsky, Matisse and Peter Doig.
