Justine spent her early years in St Agnes, Cornwall a place that continues to inspire her today. She comes from an artistic background where all her life she has been involved in various forms of artistic expression. Justine moved to the London area and studied at Middlesex University. After graduation, she was approached by one of the worlds top textile design studios in London. She soon established herself as one of their most prolific and successful designers selling worldwide to large fashion and furnishing companies in the major fashion capitals. Justine's main passion, talent & creativity has always been painting and after leaving textiles many years ago Justine has been enhancing her ever-growing reputation as a professional award-winning artist. Justine’s style and influences vary through time, which is reflected in the experimental nature of her work. Her abstracts are energetic, restless and often reflect her curiosity, born from her formative years in St Agnes to her emotional and physical connection with nature, the sea and the Cornish coastline. Her free use of oils, acrylics and other mixed media on board contributes to a unique and compelling style. Along with many artists, Cornwall has always been a place where Justine has found solace and inspiration. She lists Howard Hodgkin, Ivon Hitchens, Ben Nicholson, Peter Lanyon and Alfred Wallis as some of the artists that have influenced her style.
