ABOUT THE ARTWORK

"Garish: Werk", 2014; 16" x 20"; Ink, Spray Paint and Acrylic on Canvas I work in a school as a Visual Arts Teacher. Even among my fellow teachers, my job seems strange and odd, given classroom management strategies and preparation of materials. In the past, I've worked at a desk job in an office. This work is strange and foreign to me now, and I loathed every moment of it. "Work" for one person can be foreign and hated to others. We go where our desires and education takes us, and we must find our niche in the many different travails of the world.
