Artist Statement: I work primarily in watercolor, using professional Daniel Smith pigments, and explore themes of quiet presence, stillness, and inner tension. My paintings focus on moments where time seems to slow down — misty cities, silent animals, solitary figures, and landscapes filled with atmosphere rather than detail. Watercolor allows me to combine control and unpredictability. I build my images through layered washes, soft transitions, and restrained color palettes, leaving space for light, air, and emotion. I am less interested in literal description than in mood, memory, and the subtle psychological state of the subject. Whether I paint wildlife, urban scenes, or landscapes, I treat each work as a complete, finished statement — not a sketch, but a moment of observation and reflection. My goal is to create paintings that invite the viewer to pause, feel, and return to them over time.
