ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I thought of this landscape as a view of a cocoon containing an embryo of life. The touches of paint give an organic texture to the sky as to the emerging forms on the horizon. The many layers of color were applied with a good amount of glaze medium to preserve the color pigmentation. The result is close to the vision I had and wanted to communicate, that of a crucible in which the germs of all evolution are formed. The source is a recurring theme in my research about nature and the universe, no matter how I treat a landscape, my questioning about the true definition of life as an immaterial origin always shines through. https://youtu.be/iGnYBGtsyHU
