The painting is one of the first experiments from the artist Saverio Francesco Ferrulli, made in his own house in Apulia before having his own art studio in 2020. Artist's words : "Looking at it I feel like in the wide infinite space, in a strange nebula made of dust of personal research. Everyone of us is researching in his own universe, we constantly discover new spaces while other we're losing. It's a process which you couldn't escape." To accompany the work, the artist also wrote a poem in Italian, his native language: " Tentiamo tutti di conquistare il nostro universo, ogni giorno conquistiamo piccole parti di noi stessi le coltiviamo, le inseguiamo, ne siamo alla ricerca. Piccole parti che o mai avevamo scoperto o che riscopriamo, assieme a piccole altre che quotidianamente perdiamo e che finiscono per sempre nei buchi neri della nostra memoria. Come sul corpo nei raccontano una storia: raccolgono una prova della nostra esistenza, dei nostri universi, di gesti e parole che sono l'essenza. " ©Saverio Francesco Ferrulli

Saverio Francesco Ferrulli (Acquaviva d. Fonti, Italy - class 1996) is an italian abstract artist who works and lives in Göteborg, Sweden. In 2018 he began his gradual experimentation and research, mainly focused on the use of acrylic painting, first creating some trittic works on canvas cardboard (today located in private collection in Berlin). Focusing on form and color, for the realization of his works he uses various "unconventional" tools as in the tradition of abstract art. In addition to the use of brushes, spatulas and strips, in fact, he explores the infinite possibilities of applying color on the canvas with old tools, combs, and whatever he finds to help his cause.
