About The Artwork

One in a series of two drawings created in 2021 with acrylic paint on 270g archival quality paper. This painting has a solid neutral cream background with simple asymmetric shapes in black and grey; each shape has a modest shadow of mauve and beige. The texture of the paint is visible on the paper and the shapes are natural with curves and imperfections. The title indicates a glacial mass; frigid and icy with a stillness that lets you forget the force of its great weight. Eroding and moving so slowly, the subtle changes to its shape are unrecognisable. Initialed on the back, comes with the frame pictured ready to hang. The frame is solid maple, very light with a slight rose color and has an acrylic front. Ships flat in a box from Hamburg. Standard A4 paper size: 21 x 29.7 cm (8.3 x 11.7 in).

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Working mostly in acrylic paint on canvas, I make minimal compositions with sprinklings of high contrast patterns and color. My process is a repetition of addition and subtraction, pedaling between the abstract and figurative. Inspired by the rigid lines of Agnes Martin and organic forms of Eva Hesse, I also adore fantasy films, surrealism, brutalist architecture and a really smooth gradient. Sometimes I set my paintings in motion; I'm also an illustrator and animator creating works under digital pseudonym We Throw Rocks. Based out of a poorly heated–yet cozy attic studio bordering the icy waters of Northern Europe.
