About The Artwork
Painting captures the variety of warm reds, orange to pink to purple, a full bloom, new buds and the demise of a flower. Background is warm cream color to purple and green gray. Painting is archival, oil on paper. Paper is primed, painted and protected with a UV matte varnish. Frame with mat and glass or without glass, like you would a painting on canvas. Your framer will need to mount it on a board for frame w/out glass.

B. 1961, grew up in the South but have been living in Philadelphia for 15 years now. At this time my focus has turned to botanicals, in all aspects, including, of course, my art. Previous work as a painter can be seen online under Kim Alsbrooks, a successful series of miniatures which I have put aside for now. Marie is my middle name, used for this body of work. I have exhibited all over the US, Berlin and have work in many collections. Won West Collects Prize in 2012.
