Part 3 An elegant triptych using glass enamel paint fired onto float glass. Glass artworks are typically designed to be mounted in window to allow for light to be fully viewed. I wanted to explore glass as a canvas. Rather than using window light to bring it life, it has been mounted floating an inch over mirror. This enables light to pass through the translucent paint and bounce back into the piece. Along with giving it a three dimensional affect within its reflection. I've aimed to create a contemporary internal glass artwork which works beautifully as a single piece - Though ideally hung together in order (ie 1-2-3) as a complete series for balance. Framed in high quality 1.5 inch deep brushed mental affect silver wood, within an aluminium trim mount. Ready to hang onto a strong large screw with a firmly fixed raw plug. Hangings and rope already fitted. Will arrive carefully packed in a custom made wooden crate.

I believe that art is not only seen, but is a felt experience, as does my greatest influence Howard Hodgkin. This is the realm I choose to work in; aiming to represent or re-create a moment, an emotion using paint as a dialogue. The souls complexity is the reason I choose not to title work in a sense that would give a guide to each derived source. I feel this would throw the viewer into an intellectual process, or even worse confine each piece to boundaries. I hope to evoke a response based on emotion not intellect, for each viewer to be moved on any level. If I can create a space for this and paint a moment, then I am achieving my goal. Though like all artists, I shall strive continuously for the perfect piece.
