About The Artwork
Another winter here in good old Germany that wasn't a winter at all. So at least let us celebrate here the the white of snow, the Nordics, the Artic, the short days and long nights. The melting can be seen as just the recurrent changing of seasons, as the change from winter to spring but also as a mounring of the ongoing climate change. The 4 pieces of the series Gletscher / Glacier, RWV 53-01 till 53-04. are all 15 x 15 x 4 cm and all oil on wood. These 4 paintings came before another oil on canvas and oil on wood series about the glaciers during the seasons RWV 55-01 till 55-03, 54-01 & 54-02 and RWV 293-01 till 293-03 from 2013 & 2015. The artwork is signed, dated and named with its RWV catalgue number on the reverse.
