About The Artwork
When I first saw the photograph of this beautiful Dahlia, I felt the flower was trying to convey to me how content it was. Through my painting of this flower, I have tried to capture that very spirit on paper. This original acrylic piece has been painted on Fabriano Artistico 640 gsm/300 lbs. extra white cold pressed paper, which has been coated with a generous layer of Gesso. It will require framing. It is made with Golden heavy body acrylics and is sealed with 3 layers of Liquitex high gloss varnish to protect it from dust and UV light. All photos capture the color and details as close as possible. But slight variations in color between the photos posted here and the actual painting might be present. The painting will be shipped in a cardboard box in 2-3 business days. It will need framing. My name is Navneeta. I was born in India, but I now call United States my home. I started drawing and painting as a little girl. My art would be regularly featured in children’s magazines, newspapers etc. I didn’t make much of it then. I work out of my home based studio for hours where I generally loose track of time. I love life! I draw inspiration from all that is around me – the birds, the flowers, and life itself.
