ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired by watching insects fluttering in the moonlight. I wanted to reflect the transient nature of life caught briefly in a fleeting moment in time. It says something about both the fragility and the resilience of nature. There are multiple layers of oil glazes over loose ink brush marks built up to create a lush, glossy surface that allows the viewer to find depth in different lights and with repeated viewing.
