About The Artwork
My partner is from Xi'an, Shaanxi province in China. There are many interesting mountains and hills not too far from Xi'an, some very beautiful and all with ancient history. She and I have often gone to visit, one day we decided to go down the rear side of a mountain, as we moved down through the woods the soil was very sandy and very slippery but we had a lot of fun. This work is unmounted and unframed. The paper size is 20ins x 16ins, the image size is 18.5ins x 14.5ins. The edge of the work has gum tape on it, used when the paper was stretched prior to painting.

I was a painter to begin. I started doing computer art in the late 70s, programmed at first but then evolving into a couple of strands of practice. Today the painting and the computer work interact sometimes, because of digital media I also retrieve and revisit old work when it merits it.
