The Kazakh steppe is shrouded in legends and myths. Beautiful stories about batyrs and untold riches of khans were passed on from mouth to mouth. Some of them have come down to our times, only this is not a legend or a myth. This is the true story of the once beautiful city, and now the small village Sarayshyk, which is located 50 kilometers from the city of Atyrau. Kasim Khan had a beautiful daughter who lived in Saraishik. She was famous not only for her beauty, but also for her good temper. Khan's beloved daughter was not spoiled; she had only one passion - swans. The father, in order to please his daughter, created an artificial lake. Khan's daughter threw sugar into the water to sweeten it. As you know, the swans flew to the sweet water, later the lake acquired the name "Seker stake." Literally translated as "sugar lake". In addition to the lake, the father bestowed a golden boat on his daughter, who was specially made by the masters. Khan's daughter loved boat trips on the lake, surrounded by her friends. But one morning there was a misfortune - the Khan's daughter died. Kasym Khan ordered to bury his beloved along with the boat, but the burial place did not tell anyone. More than 500 years have passed, but the burial site has not yet been found.
