Grace I Painting

This piece was inspired by an early evening sky, where the colors and clouds stretched across the great expanse of blue. It is my hope that it will create a feeling of peace, openness, and hope for the viewer. Especially in light of the events that began in the spring of 2020 and continue to plague the world. I choose this medium because of it's fluid nature. I love the blending and surprising outcomes with the flow of ink (acrylic, watercolor, & alcohol) on Yupo paper. Original Ink/Mixed Media-on Yupo paper. Along with the blues, whites, and a touch of subtle purple hue, this image incorporates metallic and silver ink blended to create a metallic champagne color. The texture is subtle where layer meets layer. The original art is protected with 2 layers of UV filtering, covered with glassine to protect the piece, and is carefully rolled to be placed in a tube mailer to safely reach your destination. This type of art can be framed many ways. I am happy to answer questions and offer recommendations related to framing but visiting your local framer to explore different options in person is highly recommended.
