ABOUT THE ARTWORK
There is something mystical and enchanting about the evening streets after the rain. I deliberately waited until the evening in rainy weather and went outside to make sure of this. In the foreground you can see a blurry image of a car rushing through a green traffic light. The green traffic light is an allegory. When a person strives for something, then circumstances develop in his favor. The painting is painted with oil paints on canvas stretched on a stretcher. The surface is varnished. This makes the colors more saturated. The brightness, saturation and contrast of the actual image may differ from that shown in the photo. This may be caused by color rendering errors, glare from light sources and reflections from surrounding objects. An important stimulus in my work for me is music. While working on the next canvas, the compositions of the Baroque era, classical and modern rock trends, which support a charge of inspiration, sound. Many of my paintings bear names of the same name with musical works. I have been living in Germany since April 2022. Due to the fact that I had to hastily leave my home under shelling, I was unable to take my collection of paintings from Ukraine. In Germany I began a new stage of my creativity. I am very inspired by the local landscapes and architecture. I travel a lot and sketch. Castles are of particular interest to me. These grand structures are beautiful.
