The painting "Guilty Thoughts" presents a deeply introspective and haunting scene, where multiple faces and figures seem to emerge from a swirling, nebulous environment. The use of muted reds, purples, and browns creates a sense of tension, while the greenish and yellow tones add an eerie, almost otherworldly atmosphere. The central figure, draped in a red hood, appears to be in a state of reflection. The surrounding faces, some obscured and others more defined, may represent the haunting memories or the nagging conscience that accompanies guilty feelings. The overall composition feels like a visual representation of the mind in turmoil, wrestling with past actions and the emotional weight of guilt. In creating "Guilty Thoughts," I wanted to delve into the darker aspects of the human psyche and to evoke a deep emotional response. This piece was inspired by the moments when our past actions or experiences, resurface in our minds, triggering feelings of regret and remorse. The figures in the painting symbolize the different facets of guilt - some that are clear and persistent, and others that are buried deep within. Through this artwork, I aimed to explore how guilt can manifest itself in our thoughts, often distorting our perception and leading us into a state of introspection and self-judgment. However, I believe art is in the eye of the beholder. So, my idea is to let art be open to various interpretations and allow the viewer to find their own meaning, value and self in the artwork. The artwork has been selected for the LOST - 2024 exhibition Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information.

Born in 1978 and currently living in Bulgaria. Received formal education at university. Obtained an MA in Fine Arts in 2002. Areas of interest and work: painting, sculpture, digital artwork. Inspired and profoundly influenced by the present society and the relationships between people. My journey as an artist began under the guidance of my father, a talented artist, who introduced me to the world of art from a young age and whose work deeply influenced me. Growing up surrounded by his paintings, I was captivated by the way he transformed colors, textures, and stories into powerful visual expressions. Those early experiences, shaped by the environment of his studio and the creative process, have become the foundation of my own artistic voice, infusing each piece I create with a profound sense of personal history and emotional depth. Through my use of layered acrylics, I create textured artwork that invites you to not just look but to feel, to connect with the art on a deeper level and to immerse yourself in the layers of meaning that lie beneath the surface. My art is not about what is visible but about what is felt - the raw emotions and hidden stories that we all carry within us. By manipulating texture and color, I aim to evoke the emotions that resonate with your own inner world.
