About The Artwork
My love/ Hate relationship with oil paint continues. I love the mixing and the blending and hate the dry time and smudging. By using a resting stick and waiting 2-3 days between layers of paint, I was able to apply great detail as is my norm. A rustic frame was then sanded and stained to match the painted wood, the latch at the bottom was a brand new gate handle, which I then pounded sanded, ground up and purposefully rusted to match what I had painted.
