ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Visiting my friend in Virginia, I remember us walking around the neighborhood and enjoying the shade of century trees, the singing of birds, and the scent of freshly cut grass. One of those walks inspired me to further study the contrast of red brick against the greenery and the gentle touch of sunny rays illuminating the road to the house. I call it 'Happy August'.
