Head Factory Painting

I’m influenced by the industrial world around me. In my work, a landscape is filled with billboards and factories, a still life is filled with appliances and products. I’m capturing the media-saturated world we live in. It’s the world I grew up in, sitting in front of the television. I want to share my experience, feelings and perception. I hope to find some heart and truth in this manufactured world. My work often identifies with Pop art because of the consumer concepts, but sometimes it's visually closer to total abstraction. I enjoy working with art materials and objects that have a past life, like found wood and recycled paint.
