HEAD & HEART 54 Painting

THIS PAINTING IS IN MY SOLO EHIBITION in Fort Myers FL, and will be back online for sale February 2, 2024. I have participated in 2 residencies (on CV) which have inspired my entire body of work since I completed them. The dunes shack was the single most important experience of my life. I say that, despite my husband and children’s disappointment, as it was an experience that involved no one. My work is so very important to me and progressing in the one thing that sets me apart is very important to me. I have never had a promotion, or a raise—my rewards are within me—the way I feel. I thoroughly enjoyed being alone, performing the basic housekeeping, sleeping in a shack where so many have slept prior, the sounds, the animals, the sunrises and sunsets, planning and packing for the residency, all of it. There is a deep connection with the environment when immersed in such a way as an artist residency. It is not a vacation, or work trip. The retrospection, the growth and progression, the ideas that sprout out of it all are so very valuable and this body of work has progressed to larger-from 10"x10 in the residencies to this first in 40"x40". It will be shipped rolled to frame as you wish.
