I make art by exploring science. By studying astrobiology and theories of physics I try to understand the world. My paintings are a mix of realism and abstraction. I seek tones of lights, shadows and reflections when painting. When visualizing invisible, I often use innovative techniques. An immortal sonata of life is resonating in this work. I have colored the painting by using an old photographic method called "cyanotype". When exposing light-sensitive emulsion to the sun - colours appear. Silhouettes are pictures of dna of one of the oldest bacteria in the world. With these beautiful pictures made inside biochemistry-laboratory, I have united the matter, the light and the sound. BecauseThe Physics is everything. It is light in the eye and warmth in the blood It is the frigidity and darkness of stone It is the weight of bird and the lightness of wind It is emptiness and life – under the skin and above stars

LOCATION: I live and work in Finland. Living nearby forests is vital for me. I am working in old barn at home and I have a showroom in town of Turku. COLLECTIONS: Turku City Art collection Private collections PUBLIC ART: Kainua Hospital / Bioart-installation Town of Vantaa / Mural Lahti Malva-Museum / Soundart-installation Aboa vetus&Ars Nova / Museum of Contemporary Art Turku University: Department of Physics Housing Company Metsola Skanska Construction WORK: Nature is inspiration for me - powers and creatures of it. When studying in Art-Academy I did my written thesis about art and science, and this theme follows me. To me - mathematical shapes and lines, notations, reflections of molecules - represent the invisible world like time, energy, matter, gravity. Things and art-forms like various perspectives, cubism, transparency, egological materials, light-, bio- and soundart interests me. In paintings I like to create upcoming shadows and unexpected compinations.
