Portrait of the Austro-American actress Hedy Lamarr (1914-2000) who was known as "the most beautiful woman in Europe" but also fmaous for her invention of a spread spectrum technique during World War II. Lamarr became internationally known with the 1933 movie "Ecstacy", not least because of the closeup scenes of her character during orgasm and full frontal nude shots. The collage technique of this painting, including collage and text elements refer to her public life on the silver screens and movie posters. From a series of five paintings created for an exhibition on Culture Night in October 2003, at an Aarhus, Denmark, music store called ">Music" – hence the title.
