The paintings of E.E. Jacks capture life in motion. 'Art is Life' is her motto. No subject is off limits. With both French and Hispanic heritage, different cultures and the local environment influence much of her work. She practices plein air painting and studio work daily, favoring oil paint as her medium of choice. Jacks has received numerous awards and been featured in various periodicals. Her work has also been showcased in museums such as MOLAA, Olaf Wieghorst Museum, the Yellowstone and Yosemite Museums and been recognized and exhibited in the California State Capitol. She is also a poet and has currently published three books of poetry and prose. Jacks is also a juror, curator and writer. She founded APERO gallery in 16’ curating several themed exhibitions and then turned APERO into an international online and printed publication from 17’ - 21’. APERO has showcased the work of over 650 artists from over 60 countries. Visit the archives: E.E. Jacks has also been a gallery juror and written numerous art reviews. Jacks continues to work on curatorial projects and exhibits her work as a permanent artist at Quorum Gallery in Laguna Beach, Tirage Fine Art in Carlsbad and in various Galleries and Museums nationwide.
