The Herengracht is considered to be the most important canal in the city. In the 17th century, the richest merchants and the most influential regents and mayors of the city lived on this canal. Even today, an adress on the Herengracht is seen as prestigeous and chique. This work is a giclee. All my works are sold in editions of 10.

I'm an artist living in the old historic hart of Amsterdam Holland. Raised in Melbourne Australia I came to live in Amsterdam and became a real Mokummer. Mokum being the slang name of the city. My love for Amsterdam is in my paintings. Also my love of color. I've been a graphic professional for some 30 years. Being a screenprinting shop owner and a lithographer for reproducing art has contributed to my feeling of color. I started in graphics after a career in theatre where my feeling for drama was honed. Now I combine the dramatic with color and composition.
