About The Artwork
Homage was created with Damien Hirst in mind. Using paint chip cards to emulate his 'Spot Paintings' and combining the butterfly series he created, there is a simple but fascinating way that the pieces fit together like a jigsaw in perfect harmony. Hirst himself describes his intention as simple: “To create that structure, to do those colors, and to do nothing. I suddenly got what I wanted. It was just a way of pinning down the joy of color.”

I first put paint to paper 15 years ago and had the courage to hold my first solo exhibition in 2013. My work now includes paint, bottle caps, photos, recycled materials and paper as I enjoy incorporating texture for a tactile and three dimensional effect.
