About The Artwork
I was painting this image based on sketches done in an olive grove in Italy when the news on the radio announced the ousting of Robert Mugabwe in Zimbabwe. I was so excited for the people of Zimbabwe and somehow my painting became all about that. I was already working with their national colours so the painting became about hope in Zimbabwe. Green is also the colour of hope.
