This painting is part of my "Shimmering Sea" Series about sparkling light reflections in paintings. You find scenes like this after heavy rain, when the sun breaks through or in the morning after a rainy night. The colors in this painting change like the light changes in nature, due to blue and gold metallic pigments used on water and in the sky. You can see the different colors in the different photos. The more it is hit by light, the more it will sparkle, just like nature does when the sun comes out. The light, in my paintings, is always a symbol of hope, future, new chances, a new day coming, new promises and all that is needed to heal and keep going! As the colors are difficult to catch and show differently on the different monitors I have tried to show you different angles of the work in my photos. Be sure this painting has some own character and will surprise you from time to time! 30x40x2 cm on canvas with silver floating frame (34x44x2 cm). Signed on the back. Ready to hang with hook. Sparkling when hit by light because of the metallic blue color. Ask me for a price reduction if you want the painting unframed! (c) Gesa Reuter 2018

Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
