• Driving on rainy December days in Metro Manila confirmed why Waze Navigation ranked Manila the world’s worst city for a driver to drive a vehicle. • Driving for 4.9 minutes to cover only 1 kilometer in the Philippine capital city is worse than driving in other highly congested cities like Bogota, Colombia, Jakarta, Indonesia, Sao Paolo, Brazil, and Tel Aviv, Israel. • The economic costs to the city amount to Ph3.5 billion pesos daily; and badly injured Filipinos who need to be driven to the hospital often arrive dead on arrival. • And every day the city assigns strange-looking personnel to direct traffic not only distracts your attention, but also provokes your wife’s dirty imagination. • Just look at my abstract showing a little man directing traffic by waving his big elbow, as his mother watches with her face aglow.; even though his father does not know if my artwork was done by Van Gogh, Picasso, da Vinci, or me.
