Original Oil painting on Fabriano paper Rosaspina, 285 gr/mq. The painting is made by hand and is a mix of brushstrokes and palette knife strikes using different layers of oil colors. Horse races are one of my favourite topics in my art. What I search is the sense of action and freedom through free and thick palette knife strikes. An outer rough border enhance the motion of the scene which is painted on a big sheet of Fabriano paper, which is very suitable for oil technique as It mantains Its streightness without waves as you can see in the picture of the artwork lying on the carpet.

I am an Italian painter, illustrator and visual designer. My paintings usually deal with water and motion, a way to express my temper and my love for vitality with a powerful brushstroke. Water in particular is my element, and as a swimmer I am always fascinated by scenes dealing with swimming, windsurfing or water with a strong presence of blue tones. Lately I dedicate my creativity in painting mostly trees enlightened by a superior mystic light as a sign of hope Where they become symbol of rebirth in our endangered world. In this case I feel to have a different approach to art seen as a moment of intimate recollection. Besides my original paintings I also produce digital prints on canvas in limited edition, that is a way to give a physical life to my digital art that I create with graphic pen and tablet. I live in Rimini, Italy, on the Adriatic coast, and after graduating at the Polytechnic School of Design in Milan, I’ve been working in advertising and communication since 1989. At first as a freelance, then in my own studio, creating images, illustrations, logos, storyboards, brochures, posters, maps, infographics or technical and concept images. If interested to see further pictures of the paintings showed on this website, please write to curator@saatchiart.com. Thank you for your attention.
