How does the concept of beauty relate to truth and goodness? The relationship between beauty, truth, and goodness has been a central concern in philosophy since ancient times, often referred to as the "transcendentals"—qualities that are seen as inherently connected. Plato famously argued that beauty, truth, and goodness are deeply intertwined. In his view, beauty is a reflection of the ideal forms, the highest level of reality where truth and goodness also reside. For Plato, something truly beautiful must also embody truth and goodness, as these qualities are inseparable in the realm of the ideal. Beauty, therefore, is not just a matter of appearance but a way to access deeper truths and moral values. Aristotle, while sharing Plato’s high regard for beauty, truth, and goodness, emphasized a more practical connection between them. He believed that beauty is found in the harmonious order and proportion of things, which also aligns with truth. For Aristotle, beauty is the manifestation of the good, particularly in the natural world and human actions. He argued that living a virtuous life—aligned with goodness—leads to the creation of beautiful actions and, by extension, a beautiful soul. In this way, beauty becomes a guide to both truth and moral virtue.

Welcome to my webshop! I'm a 32-year-old artist from Zagreb, Croatia, with over a decade of professional experience in painting. My work has found its place in private collections across the globe, spanning all continents and nearly every country. In my art, I strive to blend my two passions—art and philosophy. Each of my paintings goes beyond mere aesthetics, aiming to evoke deep emotions or represent a philosophical question. This approach guides not only my creative process but also the way I present my work on this site. For every painting you’ll find here, I’ve highlighted a specific philosophical problem or question, offering just one of the many interpretations the artwork can inspire. I primarily work with oil on canvas, but my artistic expression isn't limited to just one medium. I also explore and utilize a wide range of other techniques, including watercolor, pastels, charcoal, graphite, gouache, acrylics, and more.
