Humble Buzz Aren’t bees humble amazing creatures that work so much and help keep nature going for us? They give us so much and we own a lot to them too. Imagine if we could have the same work ethics and take care of things as we are supposed to do. A lot more would be much better around us. I made this painting out of memory or imagination and went along composing this scenic image, painting everything as I know. Perhaps some may see the bees as cute, but certainly, they add a little more to the imagery as in real life. A lot of the work on this painting was done in pure pigment powder mixed with acrylic paint, which gave it a more earthen look and then it was refined with other medium as suited helping with the detail. The piece was worked on a gallery wrapped stretched canvas and as one may see, it is painted neatly on the sides as well. This way, one would have the choice of whether to frame it or not, as both ways would be appropriate.

Jason is a painter and illustrator of various styles and different media for different ends. Principally a surrealistic and abstract artist, he has a fondness for satire and caricature, with a hint of humour fantasy and the whimsical. World events, social affairs and politics draw his attention, but he can be inspired by everything and anything seen, heard or felt. His expression can be direct or ambiguous. What is prevalent throughout his work is light, movement and flow, hardly any black is employed, leaning towards enlightenment.
