ABOUT THE ARTWORK

A friend asked me to paint a painting of a neon sign he had seen and I couldn't end up completing it due to the cheesy nature of the sign alone, stating "All We Have Is Now." My girlfriend told me to throw a troll in there, so I did. Still wasn't satisfied, so I decided to make the troll up to no good, and gave him a spray paint can as evidence. The letters are raised out of the painting, like a neon sign would have, and are made from caulk. I applied them with a tube and then used water to mold them into the painting. I hope viewers laugh when they see this painting because of the adorable mischievous troll paired back to a saying related to hardcore drugs and vandalization. It's a winning combo! I chose the materials because I knew what I needed to use to create the desired raised letter effect I was going for. Knowing the materials and how they interact/what they are ideal for is crucial when creating artwork.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I build art. I use conventional and unconventional raw materials to add texture, depth, smoothness and detailing to cover a blank canvas. From there, I grab a random color of paint and start applying it to the canvas. Taking a step back, I'll look at the canvas and examine what's taking form. Based on what I see forming, I then develop that image until the character or object emerges, and then continue to make edits until I feel it's complete. Nothing is off limits during the development process. Sometime I add resin and spray paint. Sometimes I apply modeling paste with brushes or palette knives or fingers. These paintings have a life of their own. Because no rules are set, the painting evolves with age due to the technique and materials used. And no painting is complete either, until sold. I constantly act on impulsive ideas in the spur of the moment and will change a painting entirely or only slightly, depending on the idea. Some I never touch a second time.
