Being basically a self-taught painter I am not encumbered by rules that have held back many and am free to follow my inspirations. My paintings develop by experimenting with shape, style and color until I am satisfied with the balance, excitement, and energy that the work shares with the viewer. I am influenced by my experience in design particularly with color and style. I am not afraid of new techniques and directions and am constantly expanding the scope of my work by honoring my own ideas and direction. A colorful expression of the beauty, mystery and feeling of Nature as personally experienced through my life. Not sure if my work "evokes the allusion of the reflection of an emotional relationship with the inter-connection of the mind's eye with the sharing of the hardships and/or frivolities of a studied path through the openness and lack of clarity with which the world and universe are viewed by myself and the masses" or if I just like to express myself through the love I have had with art, painting and freedom that I have had for over 40 years and have been able to share with others!!
