About The Artwork

I am inspired by the challenge to change my circumstances from difficult to happy. I have overcome the need to express sorrow and feel wise to see myself as genuine. I have surrounded myself in my own home with pleasurable paintings and artworks to continue to feel content. Due to my world treks, I have as well, accumulated inspiration of all sorts.

Growing up in the shadow of NYC, on the New Jersey side of the George Washington Bridge, I had plenty of access to arts and culture. My favorites were the museums, MoMA and the Guggenheim in particular. I have more than a B.S. degree in Art and Education. I find inspiration everywhere; in the common and mundane and see it as sacred. Now that my nest is empty, I am devoting my skills to my own passions. My camera records amazing details for me and my Art teacher training has given me skills across most mediums. My favorite areas of experimentation include, painting, collage, photography as well as mixing mediums. Life events interfered with career plans as we were transferred around our great USA. Fortunately, I always had my 'paint pots' to satisfy my need to create, no matter where or what the circumstances. I have been in many local juried shows and recently, have been invited to include most of my newest works in store windows on Main Street, St. Charles, IL. I have moved our home and my studio across country. The better part of this past year was breaking down our household and distributing our possessions in anticipation of losing 75% of space. I am at last organized and settled in Arizona. The change from our forested views to one of desert and cactus is amazing and suggests different colors to meld together, especially the glow of sunsets lighting a hill behind our house. sometimes pink, sometimes orange.... But then came along the lockdown and ensuing pandemic's issues.... My spouse and I have again relocated, this time to Colorado, due to missing our son who went to Colorado University and found a job in Co. before graduation
